Display Accessible Version?
National Rail Enquiries’s live departure board finder has a check box labeled “Display Accessible Version?”. When I say labeled, I don’t mean that it uses the label tag.

Says to me: we do trains but not accessibility. Well, at least they seem to be trying. Maybe if I get bored I’ll look at the differences of the code.

Given how bad the train companies are about accessibility in the physical world (locking up ramps then losing the key, only having an accessible platform one side of the station, losing their ramps completely even when you’ve booked to use one) I’d have said their website matches the real life experience perfectly!

I did suspect that this was the case, however is that the case for all train services in this country? Does it differ between Virgin and Southern for example? Either way, I’ve not experienced their deficiencies first hand so I’m not one to comment. Well, alright, I’ve experienced their deficiencies first hand, but not related to this subject!
