Has anyone actually said how to get EDGE to appear in SETTINGS>GENERAL>NETWORK. I have only got VPN, Wi-Fi and Data Roaming. Cant get on edge or find any settings for it. I am using my o2 genie sim card…

Watch this space, it turns out that my contract was canceled by the phone warehouse in February when i signed for an 18 month contract in January. Will be an interesting meeting when i go to see them.

Watch out in Spain, as previous post i managed to get the iphone edge settings then after about 10 days nothing with my data package would work, checked with vodaphone and they said i had been roaming and had a bill for 320 euro dont care how much it costs me i will be changing contracts as soon as the iphone hits here. I am not happy i purchased a data package with vodaphone not Blackberry so how can they charge this!!!!!

Following my post of the 28th April when i succeeded in getting my Spanish Vodafone account working i have now lost connection other than wi-fi. I have done 2 things . 1. i deleted the apn and passwords as the phone woulnt go through the installer programme but all codes have been put back and also my wife has started using my Blackberry with her sim card, could it be that vodafone can check a code on this phone, have taken card out but just the same.

Any advise would be gratefully received.

Just wanted to say Dave, that you are a bit of a legend. Bought my iPhone out in NYC last year & had been happily trundling along assuming that Edge was an O2 only service. Was happy with the wi-fi & am not super-techy so I didn’t really mind.

Looked it up on a whim this morning & your technique works a treat. Got a lot of love for you right now, wherever you are… Am only sorry I didn’t think to look online before.

I’ve many friends on both Facebook & Twitter, however all that are on both choose to use Twitter (that says something about my friends!).

Great idea. Interesting more of your community interaction is from Twitter. My friend group is mainly on Facebook and I’m not sure I want to, or ever will, move them over to Twitter.

There’s a mammoth spike indicated from the past year’s tracking - so when’s it going to plateau out do you reckon?
